Mumbai | Eknath Shinde spent his childhood in a hut in ‘Kisannagar’ set up for the workers of Wagle Estate MIDC. Eknath Shinde, who lives with his parents and four siblings, got his primary education from Kisan Nagar No. 3 Thane Municipal School No. 23. Janajagruti Mitramandal was established for festivals like Holi, Dahihandi, Ganeshotsav. At the age of 20, he joined the Shiv Sena. Inspired by the thoughts of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, Eknath Shinde got involved in the training of district chief Anand Dighe. Eknath Shinde, who drives a rickshaw and a tempo to support his family, started his political journey by winning the Thane Municipal Corporation election.
The development of Thane is also expected as the ‘Kisannagar’, a witness to Shinde’s journey to become the third Chief Minister of the state, celebrates. The Kisnagar area in the Wagle Estate in Thane is important in the formation of Eknath Shinde. He became the first corporator from this area. After that, his political graph continued to grow. But he still maintains the bond with the residents of Kisannagar area, their friends and neighbors. Therefore, they regularly attend every festival like Holi, Dahihandi and Ganeshotsav. He did not give up the habit of visiting even in the happy and sad events of the workers here.

He has a special interest in identifying the people coming from this area by name and carrying out their work immediately. After the ‘Sairaj’ and ‘Anupam’ building accidents in Kisannagar, he tried to implement a cluster plan to solve the housing problem of the citizens living in dilapidated buildings here. Therefore, the cluster scheme implemented by Thane Municipal Corporation is being launched from Kisannagar area. Friends from this area have always supported him and it seems that Shinde has tried to give them new opportunities through their friendship. The fort of Kisannagar has been strengthened by giving the honorable posts of corporator, mayor, standing committee chairman to the corporators who support him. Eknath Shinde, who grew up in Kisan Nagar and is leading the state, is expressing confidence that his childhood friends will make Thane city more prosperous.
