Ratnagiri: A young sports teacher has died in an accident in Ratnagiri city. The teacher’s name is Omkar Uday Bane (age 30). However, the cause of the accident is not yet known. The accident is believed to have been caused by a buffalo or a vehicle coming horizontally. Police have registered an accidental death in the case and further investigation is underway. However, the sudden departure of Omkar has caused mourning in the entire Ratnagiri city. Hundreds of young people rushed to the government hospital on hearing of his death.
The accident took place in front of a furniture shop in front of Champak Maidan in the city. There have been many accidents in the past due to cattle crossing the road. This road is known as Accidental Road. Omkar, meanwhile, was not wearing a helmet when the accident happened, and if he had, the brain would not have been hit so hard and he might have survived.

The accident took place on Monday (June 6) at around 11.30 pm. Omkar Bane died on the spot. Omkar Uday Bane was working as a sports teacher in Gogte Joglekar College for last 6 years. He was sitting with the children in the village till 10.30 pm on Monday. But then no one understood why he drove away. Later, the news of the accident came to light and everyone’s heart sank. Omkar had a gym bag at the time of the accident. He was coming from Udyam Nagar via Ratnagiri Paratwane Road. It is estimated that the buffalo or the vehicle came to a halt at this time and died due to this unfortunate accident. He was severely beaten in the accident and died on the spot. It is said that he could have survived if he had received immediate help.

Omkar was very generous, helpful to everyone. He excelled in kho-kho, kabaddi and cricket. Even though Omkar was a sports teacher, he used to help everyone a lot during competitions. With his help, many people from village to village were organizing competitions in Ratnagiri.
