Chief Justice NV Ramana of the Supreme Court has referred the Maharashtra power struggle case to a 5-judge constitution bench. The Constitution Bench will hear the issues of internal democracy in political parties and the role of Election Commission in it. The next hearing of this case will be held on Thursday. The pending issues with the Election Commission will be heard on Thursday. The Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission not to take any decision before that. Even earlier, Justice Ramana had said that the Election Commission should not take any major decision regarding the Shiv Sena’s symbol before the court’s observation.
