Rain with thunderstorm is expected in Amravati, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia on 11th June. Akola, Buldana, Washim, Wardha, Nagpur and Bhandara will receive sparse rainfall. Light to moderate rain is expected in sparse places in Vidarbha on 10th June. Akola, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha and Yavatmal districts are likely to receive sparse rainfall.

Rain fell in Akola and Telhara

Due to the heat wave in the first week of June, the maximum temperature in East and West Vidarbha had gone up to 46.44 degrees Celsius. It rained in Telhara area including Akola city on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, it started raining in Akola city around 11 pm. In some parts of the city, including Telhara, the sky was overcast. Strong winds blew and rains caused sleet in the area. Meanwhile, due to pre-monsoon rains, farmers started cultivating the land. The rains on Thursday brought relief to the people affected by the drought.

Today, tomorrow it will rain

Thunderstorms are expected in Mumbai on Friday and Saturday. In Thane, including Mumbai, it is likely to rain with thunder till Monday. Mumbai has yellow alert till Friday, Saturday and Thane till Monday. Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Nashik, Pune, Kolhapur and Vidarbha districts are also expected to receive thundershowers till Monday. Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar are expected to receive thundershowers on Friday.
