Mumbai: The number of corona patients in Maharashtra is increasing day by day. In Mumbai too, Corona has started spreading her arms and legs again. There is a picture of increase in the number of corona in the vicinity of Mumbai city. In one week, the number of corona patients has increased by 350% in Palghar and 192% in Thane. In Mumbai, it has increased by 136 per cent, while in Raigad and Pune, the three districts collectively have increased by 136 per cent. The last four days have seen a steady increase in corona patients. However, there is some relief on Monday. The number of corona patients in the state has declined on Monday. Yesterday, 1,036 new patients were found in the state and 676 in Mumbai. The drop in the number of tests on Sunday also showed a decline in the number of corona patients. After the increase in the number of active patients in the state is 7,429, while in Mumbai alone there are 5,238 patients. The city’s weekly positivity rate is 8.82 percent.

Six districts have seen an increase in positivity rates. Health officials have been ordered to step up tests immediately. Weekly positivity in the state is 4.71 per cent, Mumbai is 8.82 per cent and Palghar is 4.92 per cent. The city of Thane has recorded a daily positivity rate of 20% on Monday. This rate is about 10 percent higher than on Sundays.

The number of hospital admissions in Mumbai has increased. As many as 54 patients were admitted to various hospitals on Monday, bringing the total number of patients treated at the hospital to 219. A total of 254 patients are being treated in hospitals in the state. As far as active patients are concerned, only 1.04 (61) patients are critically ill. So, only three patients in the entire state are on ventilator. The remaining 96 per cent patients are symptomatic, said Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

25,000 test claims

In view of the weekly positive rate in Mumbai, the administration has ordered to increase the tests. 25,000 tests are being conducted in the state. Authorities have ordered that the person be tested for RTPCR if he develops symptoms such as fever, chills and viral infections.
