Shocking! Neighbors spit, 13-year-old boy killed by relatives

A 13-year-old boy has been strangled to death for spitting on a neighbor’s house. Mumbra police have arrested a distant relative of the boy in connection with the murder. The court has remanded the accused in police custody till April 25.

Rupesh Vijay Gole (age 13) is the name of the murdered boy. The accused Dashrath Kakade (28), a relative of the boy, lives near the boy’s house in Nagwadi, Divya. Kakade’s cousin is Rupesh’s age. Kakade had taken Rupesh on the afternoon of April 17 to fetch his clothes. However, Rupesh never came home after that. So Rupesh’s elder brother called Dashrath and asked about Rupesh.

He said that he paid Rs 50 to Rupesh and released him at the fair. A case of abduction was registered at Mumbra police station the next morning as Rupesh was still missing. While investigating the case, Dashrath was questioned by the police as to where exactly he had gone to buy clothes. He said he went to the street vendor to buy clothes. However, the seller said that no one came to buy clothes after the police inquired about the seller. Police arrested Dashrath on suspicion of the crime. After interrogation, the matter of Rupesh’s murder came to light.

Dashrath had taken Rupesh to the first floor of a closed toilet. He then strangled Rupesh to death. He informed the police that the murder took place on the afternoon of April 17. The two had an argument over Rupesh’s spitting on Dasharath’s neighbor. Out of anger, the accused killed Rupesh. The accused was painting and the case was registered after a complaint was lodged by Rupesh’s father. The case is being investigated by Assistant Inspector of Police S.K. S. Shelke is doing.
