Acharya Atre Jayanti Comedy Festival; Patra Maharshi Acharya Atre Award announced to Sheetal Kardekar

Pune : On the occasion of Acharya Atre’s birth anniversary, Acharya Atre Memorial Foundation has organized ‘Hasya-Vinod Anand Mahotsav’. The festival will be held at Acharya Atre Smriti Pratishthan, Vinod University on Lakaki Road in Shivajinagar from 11th to 13th August, the founder-president of the foundation Adv. Baburao Kanade said in a press conference on Wednesday.
On this occasion, trustees of the foundation, Vasantrao Kulkarni, Kamlakar Bokil, advisor Dr. Anand Deshpande and others were present. The festival will be inaugurated on Thursday (11th) by Visubhau Bapat at 6.30 pm. After that, the program ‘Kutumba Rangle Kavyat’ will be presented. The program Indradhanu will be presented on August 12. So, the festival will conclude on August 13 with an award distribution ceremony by Justice Rajesh Ketkar.
In this ceremony, awards will be given to poets, satirists, comedians, orators, cartoonists, educationists, playwrights, directors, actors, actresses, industrialists etc. in the name of Acharya Atre.
Patra Maharshi Acharya Atre Award has been announced to courageous journalist Sheetal Kardekar for his contribution in the field of journalism. The program is open for free and the foundation has appealed to citizens to attend and enjoy it in large numbers.
