Former MLA of Shirur Haveli Baburao Pacharne has passed away. Pacharne is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Shirur. Due to his death, a mountain of grief has fallen on the family. Finally this morning during treatment, Pacharne breathed his last. Baburao Pacharne was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Shirur for the past few days. As Pacharne’s condition deteriorated just two days ago, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister Chandrakant Patil visited him at the hospital late on Tuesday night and took health information from the doctor.
At this time, Pacharne’s supporters had gathered in large numbers. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed the feeling that Baburao Pacharne will get well soon and he will again insist on his government for development work for the development of the people. After losing the 2019 elections, Pacharne’s health deteriorated. So he was away from politics. He was diagnosed with cancer one and a half years ago. Therefore, he started treatment in a private hospital in Pune. He battled cancer for a year and a half but his other organs started to fail. So finally today he breathed his last in the hospital. He died in a private hospital.
Born in a farming family, Pacharne had no such political background. In 1978, he became a member of Shirur Gram Panchayat. Then won the Taluka Agricultural Produce Market Committee. After that, he was the Chairman of the Market Committee for eight consecutive years. In 1993, he was once again elected as a director in the market committee elections.
He contested a total of six assembly elections from 1995 to 2019 and won twice. Pacharne is survived by his wife Maltitai, son Rahul, daughter Neelima, three brothers, five sisters. There was a large section of people who respected him in all the communities of the city. His death has spread mourning in the entire taluk and people are slowly being made. Many expressed the feeling that the man of the house is gone.
