Tathwade: Sandeep Pawar’s initiative for infrastructure in Punawale.

  • The administration’s attention was drawn to the background of increasing civilization

  • Statement to Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Rajesh Patil

Pimpri. Representative

NCP youth leader and social activist Sandeep Pawar has demanded that work should be started immediately by taking over the reservation of water tank at Tathawade and STP at Punawale.

A statement has been issued to Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil in this regard. It says that the urbanization of Tathawade-Punawale village has increased tremendously. However, compared to that, infrastructure is expected to be created. Construction projects in the area have increased, and the population is growing rapidly. In this regard, projects related to water supply, STP, drainage system are expected to be worked out. However, no action has been taken by the administration yet.

The work of water tank in Tathawade through Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has been pending for the last several years. In this regard, during the tenure of former corporator Smt. Yamunatai Pawar (2012-2017) 24 by 7 water supply scheme was approved through Central Government, State Government and Municipal Administration. In particular, the work of the navy was completed to some extent. However, after the change of power in NMC in 2017, the work of water tank does not seem to have been completed.

Meanwhile, assuming that the pace of development slowed down during the Covid and Lockdown, work on the water tank was expected to pick up in the last five years. However, this does not seem to have happened. As a result, it should be noted that the citizens of the area are facing low and insufficient water supply due to the negligence of the administration.

  • Give justice to the citizens of Tathawade, Punawale: Pawar

On the other hand, Punawale village Sewage Drainage Project (STP) was approved. Funds were also sanctioned for this. However, the reservation of STP at Tathawade or Punawale has not been taken over yet. As a result, the wastewater generated in the area is discharged directly into the water. In addition, due to the accumulation of sewage, there is a problem of civic health. Considering the growing population and the housing projects that are being created, the municipal administration is expected to enable basic amenities at Tathawade and Punawal. Rajesh Patil has been asked to give justice to the locals by developing STP and water tank reservation.
