UP leader imposes on state, injustice on workers, Congress leader resigns abruptly

Mumbai: After the Congress party gave the Rajya Sabha ticket to Imran Pratapgadhi, the Congress leaders in Maharashtra have come to the fore. Ashish Deshmukh, a prominent Congress leader from Vidarbha, has resigned as General Secretary. Deshmukh has tendered his resignation to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. Was there no other leader in Maharashtra to be sent to Rajya Sabha? He has asked such a question.

While there are many leaders in the state, the Congress party has nominated 34-year-old Imran Pratapgadhi from Uttar Pradesh for the Rajya Sabha seat. Since then, many senior leaders in the state as well as young leaders have expressed their displeasure. Ashish Deshmukh has resigned out of resentment. “Despite many capable leaders, the party has not considered the leaders here. Despite assuring me of Rajya Sabha, the party has not fulfilled it, ”lamented Ashish Deshmukh.

I am resigning as the General Secretary of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee as Imran Pratapgadi (Uttar Pradesh) was nominated for the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra. Imposing an outside candidate will not be beneficial in terms of party growth. Ashish Deshmukh has resigned, lamenting that this is an injustice to ordinary Congress workers in Maharashtra. He also said that despite the resignation of the General Secretary, I will continue to work for the party as a staunch party worker.
