The time has come for Samriddhi Highway… Narendra Modi is likely to come for the inauguration

Diwali is likely to be the time to inaugurate the first phase of the Nagpur-Mumbai Samriddhi Highway. The deadline for publicizing the highway has been missed twice so far, and now there is a possibility that the first phase will be inaugurated in Diwali. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Maharashtra in November, and it is likely that he will inaugurate the first phase from Nagpur to Shirdi. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ ambitious Samriddhi Highway from Mumbai to Nagpur was announced in the Legislative Assembly on 31st July 2015. As many as 24 districts of Maharashtra will benefit from this highway passing through 10 districts. Due to this highway, the journey from Mumbai to Nagpur can be done in just 8 hours and the distance of 812 km will be increased to 700 km. Therefore, everyone is paying attention to the popularity of this highway.

Meanwhile, the work of the first phase from Nagpur to Shirdi has already been completed. The first phase was to be inaugurated in October 2021. But then it could not happen. Subsequently, the inauguration was likely to take place on December 31, 2021. However, it was not launched even then. Then the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced that the inauguration would be held on May 1, 2022. However, at that time he missed the muhurt. After that, the inauguration ceremony was likely to take place on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence i.e. on 15th August. However, even then this program could not take place. Now, the first phase of the Samriddhi Highway is likely to be inaugurated by Diwali. At least this time, everyone’s attention is focused on whether the road will be opened for traffic after the inauguration.

A series of transports
Although the highway has not yet been opened for vehicles, the number of accidents is increasing here. Therefore, the issue of safety of drivers is being raised. Therefore, the opening of this highway is awaited as soon as possible.

Feature of Samriddhi Highway
Deputy Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis had announced this project in 2015 when he was the Chief Minister. An expenditure of 50 thousand crores was expected. Also, fifty thousand acres of land has been used for this Samriddhi Highway.
Samriddhi Highway will have more than 50 flyovers and more than 24 interchanges and 5 tunnels are proposed.
National Highways will be connected through Samriddhi Highway. These include NH3, NH6, NH7, NH69, NH204, NH211, NH50.

This highway will connect 26 talukas, 392 villages.
Samriddhi Highway will generate employment. It is said that this will provide 25 lakh employment opportunities.
As this highway will be built through private partnership, toll will have to be paid.
