Shiv Sena’s test again for Legislative Council polls, MLAs will be jailed two days in advance!

Mumbai : After a strong push from BJP in Rajya Sabha elections, Shiv Sena has now decided to take more care for Vidhan Parishad elections. Shiv Sena has made arrangements to move its MLAs to hotels two days before the election. On the other hand, BJP has also started a series of meetings to work out a strategy on how to elect a fifth candidate. Elections for 10 seats in the Legislative Council will be held on June 20. As 11 candidates are in the fray for 10 seats, there is a possibility of horse market.

With the defeat of the Shiv Sena candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, they have already started taking all precautionary measures. For this, two days before the elections, on June 18, he has invited all the MLAs and independent MLAs of the party to stay at Hotel Renaissance in Powai. All the MLAs from this hotel will go to the Vidhan Bhavan on June 20 for voting. On the other hand, the BJP has also started meeting from Wednesday to formulate a strategy. A meeting of trusted leaders was held at Sagar Bungalow of Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis. Candidates Praveen Darekar and Prasad Lad along with Ashish Shelar attended the meeting.

Thakur’s mind

On the backdrop of this election, Congress leader Bhai Jagtap met Bahujan Vikas Aghadi MLA Hitendra Thakur on Wednesday. After the Rajya Sabha election results, Mahavikas Aghadi has also taken the council election more seriously. Jagtap called on Hitendra Thakur to appease him as the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi had more votes among the independents.
