Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will be the only Chief Minister; The real loss to the Congress is the mutiny in the army

Mumbai: No one has an answer as to how the power struggle in Maharashtra will end. The Uddhav Thackeray government will remain in power and everyone wants an answer to this question. But the most important point is how the political picture that will emerge after this power struggle will be. An article by Neerja Chaudhary in the Times of India raises a different issue in the ongoing political movement in Maharashtra. If the Mahavikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra falls and the Shiv Sena falls apart, it will not only weaken the army but also hurt another political party. At the same time, the strength of BJP in the state can increase.

The most important issue is who will form the government. It is now clear that the Shiv Sena has split. Eknath Shinde and the BJP leadership are waiting for the moment when they will cross the majority mark with the rebel MLAs. If Shinde gets enough MLA support, he can claim that he is not Uddhav Thackeray but Shiv Sena leader himself. After that, the group led by Shinde will be the official Shiv Sena and the BJP’s claim to form a government will be free. He will be accompanied by smaller parties and independent MLAs. In the recent assembly elections, there were 20 MLAs who voted for BJP. If Shinde does not get the support of enough MLAs, the state may be ruled by the President for some time. Until Shinde and the BJP reach a position to form a government.

  • Will Uddhav Thackeray go to BJP again?

There is also a possibility that Uddhav Thackeray may once again support the BJP to save his own image and that of the party. In doing so, they can make it a condition to appoint another person, not Devendra Fadnavis, as the Chief Minister. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has appealed to the rebel MLAs to come to Mumbai. If that happens, it could be considered to leave the Mahavikas front. But the rebels are saying that Shiv Sena should form a government with BJP.

  • The biggest loss to Congress

Though Shiv Sena seems to be suffering a major blow in this ongoing drama in the state, there is another party which may suffer a major blow. This party is the Congress. In a large state like Maharashtra, the Congress is currently in power. If the Mahavikas Aghadi government falls, the Congress, which is an economic powerhouse, will lose power. After leaving power, the party’s central leadership may weaken and the party’s situation may worsen. If not, there may be an attempt to blow up the party MLAs. In all these circumstances, NCP President Sharad Pawar will try to strengthen his own party. If the Congress is weakened, the void created by the NCP can be filled.
