Regulate power supply to Ravet pumping station: MLA Mahesh Landage

Notice to MSEDCL administration, do not affect water supply

Pimpri. Representative
Immediate measures should be taken to ensure smooth power supply of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s pumping station at Ravet. BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landage has suggested that this will solve the problem of water supply in the city.
A statement has been issued to MSEDCL administration in this regard. It said that in order to supply water to Pimpri-Chinchwad city, the Municipal Corporation is pumping impure water from Ravet dam on Pawana river. There are 20 pumps for this, from there it is taken to the water purification center in Sector 23 at Nigdi Authority by pipeline.
Both Ravet Dam and Nigdi Water Treatment Plant have separate power supply. Therefore, even if the power supply of a place is cut off, it affects the water supply of the city. Due to power outage two days ago, there is no water supply in many places. Frequent power outages are causing water supply problems. Therefore, a solution should be worked out to keep the power supply in the respective pumping stations permanently smooth, said MLA Landage.
Water problems in many areas due to power outages
The power supply to the pumping station at Ravet, Nigdi has been disrupted, affecting the city’s water supply. This matter should be taken into consideration by MSEDCL administration. Also, due to irregular power supply in many areas, water gets low pressure and erratic. Therefore, there is a need to enable water supply related power system. MLA Landage also expects MSEDCL and concerned department officials to take concrete action in this regard.
