Janata Dal United chief Nitish Kumar today clarified that he is breaking the alliance with the BJP. He submitted his resignation as Chief Minister to the Governor. He is now going to take oath tomorrow as the Chief Minister of Bihar with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal. He is going to take oath as Chief Minister tomorrow at 2 pm. Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister creating a political earthquake in Bihar. Nitish has left BJP and has taken Rashtriya Janata Dal as his Bhidu. Tomorrow he will take oath as Chief Minister for the eighth time.
Sources in the Congress informed that Nitish Kumar called Congress President Sonia Gandhi and expressed gratitude for her support to the Grand Alliance in Bihar and her contribution in forming the government in Bihar. Earlier, Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation to Governor Phagu Chauhan. The Governor accepted his resignation. Governor Chouhan also requested Nitish to continue working as the acting Chief Minister of the state until the swearing-in ceremony.
