It is necessary to inculcate self-esteem and patriotism in children during their school life: Retired Subhedar Major Bhagwat Shinde

Pimpri: “While making the citizens of the country, it is necessary to inculcate in the minds of the children, self-esteem, love for the country from childhood. For that education should be given first priority. Children, learn a lot, grow up, but never forget the motherland.” This assertion was made by retired Subedar Major and Captain Bhagwat Ganpat Shinde (age 93). He was speaking on the occasion of Amritmahotsava of Independence in the premises of Prerna Education Institute in Thergaon.

Tukaram Gujar, founder president of the organization presided over the programme. Honorary Secretary Kantilal Gujar, Social Worker Sneha Mane, Akshay Gujar, Principal Shivaji Nanavare, Headmaster Mahendra Pawar, parents, former students, all teachers were present in large numbers.

The flag was hoisted by the President Tukaram Gujar, Honorary Secretary Kantilal Gujar and retired Subedar Major Bhagwat Shinde. Major Shinde, who participated in the Sino-Pakistan war in 1962, 1965 and 1971, was honored by Prerna Education Institute.

In student life, teachers should tell children stories and examples of patriotism. Only when the borders of the country are secure, the lives of all citizens are safe. That is why it is our duty to express our gratitude to all the brave and brave soldiers who keep our country’s borders safe.
