Good news for Mumbaikars! 50% reduction in first class ticket price

Mumbai: After a 50 per cent reduction in AC local ticket prices, the Railways has now given another gift to Mumbaikars. Mumbai Local’s first class ticket price has also been reduced by about 50 per cent. Therefore, first class tickets are now affordable even for ordinary Mumbaikars.

The first class single ticket of Mumbai local train has now been reduced by 50 per cent. A ticket of Rs 50 will now cost Rs 25. However, this change has been made only in single ticket price. There is no change in the monthly pass rate.

The monthly pass will be available at the same rate. This change has been made to single ticket only. These new rates will come into effect from May 5. It will also be updated on the UTS app.

A few days back, Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve had announced a 50 per cent reduction in fares for AC locals. This is likely to be of great benefit to the general public due to reduction in AC local and local first class rates.
