Pimpri-Chichwad Municipal Corporation to visit first aid kit to Dindi chief!

Pimpri: Commissioner and Administrator Rajesh Patil informed that first aid kits and contact information booklet will be given to Dindi Chiefs on behalf of NMC to make Ashadhiwari Yatra easier and healthier for the Warkari brothers coming to the city on the occasion of Ashadhiwari Palkhi.

The palanquin ceremony of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj will arrive on 21st June and the palanquin of Sant Shrestha Dnyaneshwar Maharaj will arrive in the city on 22nd June 2022. The palanquin of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj will stop at Akurdi. He was speaking at the unveiling of the first aid kit provided by the Municipal Corporation and publication of the contact information booklet at the hands of Commissioner Patil to make Ashadhiwari Palkhi Yatra easier and healthier. Additional Commissioner Development Dhakne, Jitendra Wagh, Assistant City Engineer Shrikant Savane, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kiran Ghodke, Vitthal Joshi, Sachin Dhole, Chief Fire Officer Kiran Gawde, Prafulla Puranik of Public Relations Department were present. The first aid kit contains cold fever pills, colds, cough pills, ointments, bandages, Savlon Liquid, ORS. Powder, 15 such items.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Patil showed the green flag to the fire brigade, ambulances and drinking water tankers for the service of Warkaris.

Commissioner Patil said that all the facilities of NMC are ready to provide all the necessary services to the Waraks during this year’s Palkhi ceremony and to make Wari plastic free and environmentally friendly. Provision of municipal schools and private schools for Waraks, provision of clean drinking water, issuance of licenses to stall holders for sale of food items on palanquins, arrangement of bell carts for garbage collection, provision of sanitary napkin vending and sanitary napkin burning machines for women. During the period of Palkhi ceremony, 24 hours free medical facility has been provided in the municipal hospitals for the Waraks. Commissioner Patil informed that a mobile bus has been arranged for ambulances and various systems including a mobile hospital and a medical team on the palanquin route.

All the roads on the palanquin route have been streamlined and pit-free. Road crossings have been removed. Palkhi stay, rest, reception room and 200 CCTV on Palkhi route. Cameras have been installed. They will be broadcast live and recorded. Walkie talkie sets, wireless sets have been made available to coordinate across systems. Mobile control rooms have also been set up at the place of stay and on the palanquin route. For security, 2 drones have been arranged, with the help of Maharashtra Police and Maharashtra Security Force personnel. The responsibility for the planning of the Palkhi ceremony has been entrusted to the Chief Coordinator, Coordinator, Group Commander. Swachhagraha Chitrarath will be held in the Palkhi ceremony to create awareness about cleanliness. Commissioner Patil informed that public awareness about cleanliness will be created through various videos and street plays.
