Pimpri: Numerous women from Pimple Nilakh, Vishalnagar, Kaspate Vasti, Wakad staged a pot morcha at the gate of the municipality on Tuesday (28) against irregular and low pressure water supply. The women chanted “We must get water”, “Wake up, wake up, administration wake up”.
On this occasion, former corporator Tushar Kamthe, women from the ward and others gave a statement to the Municipal Commissioner regarding smooth water supply.
Tushar Kamthe said, citizens have been facing water scarcity in the area for the last 5 years. The agitation and hunger strike did not solve the problem. My taxpayers are facing artificial water scarcity. This artificial water shortage is being caused by the administration. The citizen is found in a quandary. The water supply officer, lineman will not be allowed to roam in my ward if the water is not smooth in future.
