Shivaji Raje Bhosle, known as a calm and restrained personality of the royal family of Satara, has passed away at Jahangir Hospital in Pune. He was the uncle of Rajya Sabha MP Udayanaraje Bhosale and MLA Shivendraraje Bhosale. Shivajiraje Bhosle also held the post of mayor of Satara city. He played an important role in ending the rivalry between the royal family when the dispute between Udayanaraje Bhosale and Shivendraraje Bhosale came to a head in Satara district. Due to the death of Shivajiraje Bhosle, a mountain of grief has fallen on the Satara royal family and the Satarakars.
Chhatrapati Shivajiraje Bhosle, cousin of Udayanraje Bhosle has passed away due to old age. He was undergoing treatment at Jahangir Hospital in Pune. Pranjyot Malvali passed away today at 5.45 pm during treatment. The body of Shivajiraje Bhosle will be brought to Adalat Wada late at night and his body will be cremated tomorrow. Shivajiraje Bhosle had reconciled MP Udayanraje Bhosle and MLA Shivendraraje Bhosle several times.
Career of Shivajiraje Bhosale
Punyasheel Sumitraraje Bhosale and Shahu Maharaj of the royal family of Satara had four children namely Pratapsingh, Abhaysingh, Vijaysingh and Shivajiraje, Shivajiraje Bhosle was the youngest. He was born on 23 April 1947. Shivajiraje Bhosale served as the mayor of Satara city from 15 May 1985 to 16 December 1991. During this period he did various development works for the development of Satara city.
