Pimpri: Pimpri Chinchwad city has been experiencing heavy rain for the past few days. Due to this, water has accumulated in many places in the city. Along with that, in some areas, a large number of mosquitoes are generated from waste materials like tires, coconut husks, old plastic pots, pots etc. Due to this, epidemics have increased. Former corporator Maruti Bhapkar has demanded that comprehensive measures be taken to control these diseases.
Maruti Bhapkar has given a statement to Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil regarding this. Accordingly, there has been a massive increase in mosquito infestation in the city. Due to this, diseases such as fever, chills, body aches, headaches have increased. Earlier measures were taken on behalf of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation such as smoke, drug spraying, putting oil in puddles, releasing guppy fish. The municipality was spending crores of rupees on it.
Like the provision of every year, this year too, when there is financial provision, the municipality is not seen taking measures like smoke, spraying medicine, putting oil in the container, releasing guppy fish etc. Therefore, the spread of diseases such as dengue, malaria, swine flu can happen more rapidly in the city in the next period. Maruti Bhapkar has demanded that appropriate measures should be implemented by giving instructions to the concerned department heads, officers and employees.
