Pune: Shiv Sena leader and former minister Tanaji Sawant’s vehicle met with an accident on Pune-Solapur highway late on Saturday night. Sawant and his accomplices survived the accident and the vehicle suffered minor damage.
According to the information received, Tanaji Sawant had left for Pune after completing the meeting of Shiv Sampark Abhiyan in Dharashiv and Bhum Paranda. On the way, Sawant’s four-wheeler met with an accident on the Pune-Solapur highway at Varvand in Daund taluka. Fortunately, Tanaji Sawant and her occupants were not injured in the accident. So Sawant’s supporters breathed a sigh of relief.
Shortly after the accident, Tanaji Sawant left for Pune again. Meanwhile, Shiv Sampark Abhiyan is being implemented by Shiv Sena across the state. On Saturday, Tanaji Sawant held a meeting in Dharashiv and Bhum city and guided the activists regarding this campaign.
