Pune : Keeping in view the festival days, Food and Drug Administration Department of Food and Drug Administration is keeping an eye on the sellers of edible oil, vegetables, ghee, sweetmeats, khawa, gram flour etc. The Department of Food and Drug Administration took a major action today.
Harmful to health ‘puff plant’ Action was taken against the vendors by the Food and Drug Administration, Pune office today by carrying out surprise raids at the market yard. Stock worth 10 lakh 58 thousand 380 rupees has been seized. Assistant Commissioner (Food) Mr. m. Thakur, c. p. Konkane, Food Safety Officer Mr. Ba. Khose, A. Ms. Gawte etc. participated in this action.
A wholesaler of the food item Puff Plant (Grade Chef Brand) was inspected at Market Yard today. By taking the sample of these items, the remaining 1 thousand 288 kg stock worth Rs 3 lakh 529, and 2 thousand 53 kg stock worth Rs 4 lakh 37 thousand 966 worth of plant puff (Century brand) has been seized, totaling Rs 7 lakh 38 thousand 495.
