Pune:A 12-year-old schoolboy was found dead under the wheels of a student transport bus in Wadgaon Khurd area on Sinhagad road. The deceased has been identified as Arnav Amol Nikam (age 12, resident of Rajyog Township, Wadgaon Khurd).
The Blossom Public School bus had arrived at the Rajyog Society premises on Tuesday afternoon to drop off the students. Arnav and other students got off the bus. Arnav was found dead under the rear wheel while turning the bus. After this incident, the students who got off the bus with Arnav became frightened.
Upon receiving information about the accident, senior police inspector of Sinhagad police station Shailesh Sankhe, crime branch police inspector Pramod Waghmare and sub-inspector Kishor Tanpure inspected the spot. Arnav died in the accident before treatment. Bus driver Dattatraya Laxman Parekar (49, resident of Dhankawadi) and carrier Riya Jadhav (33, resident of Narhe) have been arrested.
