Gondia: Another horrific accident has been reported in Gondia while the number of accidents in the state is on the rise. On the Gondia-Dhapewada-Tiroda state highway, a truck and a tractor met with a tragic accident near Mahalgaon / Murdada village under Davniwada police station on 15th June. Four people are known to have died on the spot in the accident.
According to the information received, around 10.30 am, four persons were killed on the spot in a tragic accident involving a truck and a tractor. Angry civilians set the truck on fire. This led to a major traffic jam during work hours.
According to police sources, the truck hit a tractor coming from the opposite direction. Four people, including the driver, were killed when the tractor fell off the truck. Police rushed to the spot after getting information about the accident. Four bodies have since been recovered and they have been admitted to a government hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, it has caused a stir in the area and a police investigation is underway.
