Will Narayan Rane’s problems increase? Notice of Collectorate regarding Adhish Bungalow

Mumbai: The problems facing Union Minister Narayan Rane are likely to increase. After Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Rane has now been issued a notice by the Mumbai Sub-District Collector’s Office for violating the terms of CRZ in Adhish Bungalow at Juhu. Narayan Rane has been directed to appear for the hearing on June 10. A team of Mumbai Municipal Corporation had earlier inspected Narayan Rane’s house. After Mumbai Municipal Corporation, a notice has been issued to Narayan Rane in the case of violation of Adhish Bungalow CRZ at Juhu. Orders to appear for the hearing on June 10 have been given in the notice.

The NOC was issued by the Ministry of Environment under CRZ in 2007. It has come to light that Narayan Rane has violated two of the conditions. As per the rules, there was 1 FSI. 2.12 FSI was used instead. Also 2810 chowmi construction permission was given. 4272 chowmi has been constructed instead. That means 1461 square meters of extra construction has been done. A complaint was lodged with the Coastal Management Authority regarding the violation in the CRZ case. Subsequently, the Mumbai Suburban District Coastal Area Management Committee has issued a notice to Rane on the basis of the report of Mumbai Municipal Corporation in this regard.

Mumbai High Court granted relief to Narayan Rane in March

A team of Mumbai Municipal Corporation had inspected the bungalow of Union Minister Narayan Rane at Adhish’s bungalow in Juhu after a complaint was lodged against him for violating CRZ. Mumbai Municipal Corporation had issued notice to Narayan Rane. However, Narayan Rane had run in the Mumbai High Court against the notice of Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Mumbai High Court had given relief to Narayan Rane saying that Mumbai Municipal Corporation should not take action on the notice. Now the Collectorate has given notice to Narayan Rane to be present on 10th June.
