Murder of wife on suspicion of character: Police ransacked entire district; The search for the accused continues
Aurangabad: The incident of husband killing his wife on suspicion of adultery was revealed in the railway station area on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Bilkis alias Meena Machhindra Pittekar (50, resident of Rahul Nagar, Railway Station area), while the accused was identified as Machindra Piraji Pittekar (60, resident of Chilekhanwadi, Tal. Nevasa, Rahulnagar). After this incident, Machhindra has absconded and three teams of police searched the district for his search. However, the killer’s husband has not been arrested yet and we will arrest him soon, said Surendra Malale, Inspector, Satara Police Station.
Machhindra Pittekar had come to Aurangabad from Ahmednagar district for wage labor. He was living with his wife in a rented house in Rahulnagar area near the railway station. He had an affair with his wife Bilkis. Before the marriage, Bilkis had a daughter named Shama Rafiq Sheikh, while after the love marriage, they had a daughter, Sivakanya Sanjay Singh, and a son, Jalindar. After marriage, they were living in Ahmednagar, while Shama Sheikh lives in Aurangabad.
Mayat Bilkis and daughter Shama were both going to work. For the past few days, Machhindra had been doubting his wife’s character. The two had a heated argument on Saturday night. Relatives and citizens of the area settled the dispute. But while Bilkis was sleeping at night, Machhindra hit Bilkis on the head and mouth with a stone. Bilkis died on the spot. After this, Machhindra locked the door of the house from outside and passed out.
Search in Nagar district
Two squads of Satara police and a squad of crime branch have been dispatched to search for accused Machhindra. Two teams raided the area on Sunday and Monday in Shevgaon, Paithan, Nevasa and various parts of the city. But there was no hint of it. A third team is also searching for Machhindra in and around the city.
