Sarpanch beaten to death for water supply; False charges were also filed

Beads: The sarpanch, who had gone to restore water supply after a man dug a private well near the village water supply well, was beaten to death. Not only that, but false charges were also filed against the victim sarpanch. As a result, villagers and NCP MLAs have become aggressive. He sat in the Beed Superintendent of Police’s office. There is no water in the village and the sarpanch who provided water was imprisoned by the police administration on false charges. The police administration has abused the law in this case. NCP MLA Prakash Solanke has made a serious allegation that police officers are robbing people for money. MLA Prakash Solanke said that a complaint has been lodged with the Superintendent of Police in this regard and the Superintendent of Police has promised to investigate it.

A well was dug by a private person near the water supply scheme in Dindrud village of Beed. The sarpanch complained about this. Tehsildar and group development officer ordered to stop construction of well after spot panchnama. In anger, the sarpanch, who had gone to reconnect the broken electrical connection of the well supplying water to the village, was beaten by four to five persons. False serious charges were filed against the group sarpanch by the police administration. The women and men of the village attacked the civilians and protested directly in the office of the Superintendent of Police. Prakash Solanke, MLA of Majalgaon Assembly also came to the Superintendent of Police to make a statement in this regard. He also requested to withdraw the false charges after discussing with them. The Superintendent of Police assured the MLAs that action would be taken against the culprits.

The villagers have demanded that the false charges against the sarpanch be withdrawn, saying that he has been implicated in false charges against the sarpanch as he is trying for a scheme to supply water to the village. Earlier, NCP MLA Prakash Solanke had raised the issue of law and order in Beed district. After that, MLA Solanke has once again become active against filing false and serious cases against the sarpanch of Dindrud village in his constituency and has met the Superintendent of Police and demanded action against the concerned officials.
