Pimpri-Chinchwad Navnagar Development Authority was merged with Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA). But who to appeal to for the demands of income transfer and Bhoomiputra landlords? The authority was merged with ‘PMRDA’ while it was in municipal limits. BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landge took an aggressive stance that the authority and ‘PMRDA’ have nothing to do with it.
State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is on a visit to Pune today. A meeting of the people’s representatives of the district was held in the meeting at Vidhana Bhawan. On this occasion, grandmothers-former MLAs, MPs, officers of all departments were present in the district.
MLA Landge said that Pimpri-Chinchwad Navnagar Development Authority was merged with PMRDA. However, various types of permission for income transfer, problems faced by land owners are still not resolved. Because of this, Bhumiputras in Pimpri Chinchwad are facing mental suffering. Since the actual authority is in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, its merger with ‘PMRDA’ is unjustified. Therefore, the state government should first sort out the matter of twelve and a half percent refund to the flat owners and land owners. Also, MLA Landge demanded that the authority’s powers should be streamlined.

The Mahavikas Aghadi government had decided to merge the Pimpri-Chinchwad Navnagar Development Authority with the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority or ‘PMRDA’. At that time there was strong opposition to the merger from Pimpri-Chinchwad. Now after the change of power in the state, during Chief Minister Shinde’s first visit to Pune, MLA Landge raised the issue of authority. Chief Minister Shinde has ordered the administration to hold an immediate meeting of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, ‘PMRDA’ officials and local people’s representatives. Due to this, the authority has given relief to the affected farmers and flat holders.

It was discussed a few days ago that the provision of Shrikshetra Bhimashankar development work was reduced along with Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Samadhi Sthal Vadhu Tulapur. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister were held responsible for that. MLA Landge also drew attention to this. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde affirmed that the state government will not and has not taken a decision to hinder the development of Vadhu Tulapur or any pilgrimage site, which is the place of worship of all Shiva lovers. Also, officials of the concerned department will convey the architectural status to the people, he said.
