Aurangabad: With the onset of monsoon, Aurangabad district is witnessing lightning strikes along with rains. Two more died yesterday after three were killed in a lightning strike on Saturday. As it was raining in Pimpri Satala area of Fulambri taluka in Aurangabad district, two youths who were standing under a tree got electrocuted and died on the spot. According to the information received, the deceased have been identified as Rohansingh Vijaysingh Shinde (16) and Ravi Janardhan Kalaskar (22). What is special is that these two were close friends. More information about this is that Rohansingh and Ravi were both close friends. The two were working on their farm on Sunday. Meanwhile, it started to rain suddenly.
As the rains intensified, both of them took shelter under a lemon tree in the field. While they were both standing, there was a sudden thunderclap and lightning struck the tree, killing them both on the spot. Farmers in the surrounding fields rushed to the spot and tried to save the two. However, both of them had already passed away. The bodies of the two were brought to Fulbright Rural Hospital for autopsy. His body was later handed over to his relatives. There is only one mourning in the village for the accidental death of two close friends. Five people have been killed in a lightning strike in Aurangabad district in the last two days. In order to prevent such accidents in the future, there is a need to create awareness in the rural areas on how to get protection from electricity.
