Suddenly the flow of water also increased; A shocking ‘rescue operation’

Jalgaon : After four hours of tireless efforts, the administration has succeeded in safely evacuating nine tourists who were stuck in the Suki riverbed in Raver taluka on Monday evening. At 6.30 pm, locals informed the administration that the waste weir of Suki (Garbardi) dam is overflowing and 9 tourists are trapped in the current. These nine tourists were standing in the middle of the river and surrounded by water on either side of them. Also, as the flow of water continued to rise, all these people were feared to be washed away.

Information about this, Executive Engineer of Irrigation Department Shri. The Sub-Divisional Engineer of Behre, Sawada requested the District Disaster Management to make rescue work available immediately. On noticing all this, District Collector Abhijit Raut directed District Magistrate Kailas Kadalg of Faizpur and Tehsildar Usharani Devgune of Raver to reach the spot with rescue materials. At the same time, keeping in mind the continuous rain and the rising water in the river bed, Resident Deputy Collector Rahul Patil contacted the Ministry’s Disaster Prevention Unit to get the help of the State Disaster Response Force. Accordingly, a contingent of State Disaster Response Force from Dhule was also dispatched to the spot.
District Magistrate Kadalag and Tehsildar Mrs. Devgune, local citizens and swimmers Imran Shah Ratan Shah (Rest Pal), Santosh Darbar Rathod (Rest Pal), Ratan Bhangi Pawra (Rest Garkheda), Tarasing Revalsing Pawra (Rest Garbardi) and Siddharth Guljar With the help of Bhil, these nine tourists from Muktainagar were successfully evacuated. For this he got the support of local MLA Shirish Chaudhary, Raver Tehsil Office, Sawda Police Station, Provincial Office Faizpur, Wildlife Officer and staff etc.

All Res. Muktainagar. Tehsildar Usharani Devgune has informed that all of them have been brought out safely.

Meanwhile, District Collector Abhijit Raut has appealed to the citizens not to go into the riverbed and the dam area as there is continuous rain in the district and there is a sudden rise in water in the riverbed.
