NCP leaders, who have been depriving Bopkhel of development works for 20 years since joining Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, have now started shining in the face of elections. In fact, the NCP is making an apologetic attempt to take political credit by inspecting the development work done by the BJP, said Vikas Dolas, a former BJP corporator.
NCP has organized a tour of Pimpri-Chinchwad for Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune District Ajit Pawar. During the visit, various development works in the city are being inspected. In this regard, former BJP corporator Vikas Dolas has criticized the local leaders of NCP.
Vikas Dolas said that Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar is inspecting the development works in the city. However, local NCP leaders visit BJP to inspect and approve the work. Since the administration has been imposed in the Municipal Corporation, the NCP is trying to implement a hidden agenda for the upcoming elections.
In fact, local NCP leaders blamed the BJP for the Chikhali water purification project and Andhra Bhama Askhed water. The same work was inspected by Ajit Pawar. We openly planned this project. BJP MLAs Laxman Jagtap and Mahesh Landage had taken the initiative to construct the flyover in Bopkhel, which has been pending for years. So the work of the flyover started. However, now the NCP is coming forward to take credit for the work of this bridge.

Since joining the Municipal Corporation, injustice has been done to Bopkhel by the NCP. None of the important projects took place in Bopkhel. During the five years of BJP, BJP took initiative to develop flyovers, roads within the boundaries of defense department, multi-purpose building, tax collection office, waterways, water issues, parks. In the last 20 years, the BJP has done what the NCP has not done in the last 20 years. However, in the run-up to the elections, the NCP is trying to take credit from the administrator, Vikas Dolas said.
- NCP forgets closure of STP project
NCP leaders opposed the BJP-sanctioned sewage treatment plant in Bopkhel. A tender was issued for this project during the BJP rule. It was objected to. The administration re-tendered. However, the NCP thwarted the project. The NCP put pressure on the administration to wrap up the project, which is essential for Bopkhelkar’s civic health and river conservation. The administration took action as Ajit Pawar had instructed the former NCP office bearer to close the project, he told the media. Now it is the NCP office bearers who are pretending to inspect the development works in Bopkhel. Does this duplicity suit the NCP and its leaders? This question has also been raised by Vikas Dolas.
