Sena-NCP ‘political pressure’ to save unauthorized tapas, letter sheds

  • Administrator and Commissioner Rajesh Patil will stop the action
  • Consolation to the letter shed holders on Nashik Fata to Moshi road

Pimpri. Representative

Local leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi have created ‘political pressure’ on the very busy belt on the Pune-Nashik route, namely the unauthorized tapas and letter sheds along the Nashik Fata to Moshi highway. So will Administrator and Commissioner Rajesh Patil stop the encroachment action? Such questions are being presented.

NMC has issued notices regarding action on letter shed on Nashikphata to Moshi road. Relevant road widening work is proposed. This route should be free of encroachments due to traffic congestion. For this, the municipal administration has started encroachment action. The action is being taken by the Dhadadi Squad and notices have been issued to the concerned regarding removal of illegally erected letter sheds and tapers.

However, as the administration has taken the role of taking action, the local office bearers of Mahavikas Aghadi have come forward to provide relief to the illegal tappers and letter shed holders. In this regard, a delegation of Mahavikas Aghadi met Commissioner Rajesh Patil on Monday.

NCP city president Ajit Gavhane, Shiv Sena Bhosari assembly chief Dhananjay Alhat, corporator Ravi Landage, Vasant Borate, Vikrant Lande, Pankaj Bhalekar, NCP women city president Kavita Alhat, Bhosari assembly president Uttam Alhat, Vijay Saste, Haribhau Saste, Santosh Borate, Ganesh Saste, Vasudev Alhat, Suresh Bankar, Uday Tapkir, Sanjay Saste, Rahul Saste, Vishal Saste and affected citizens were present.

Both the BJP MLAs in the city will be facing major challenges in the forthcoming municipal elections. Therefore, Shiv Sena and NCP office bearers in the city have come together. Large scale urbanization is taking place in the villages included in Bhosari assembly constituency. Where there are open spaces. Unauthorized tappers and letter sheds are being set up at that place. As a result, the city is being disfigured. Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil undertook a campaign to stop the disfigurement of the city. However, a few days ago, Shiv Sena leader Dhananjay Alhat protested. After that, the Sena-NCP office bearers have met the commissioner again. So does the administration have to stop the action on unauthorized tappers and letter sheds? It will be interesting to see.

  • Municipal Commissioner will take decision after discussing with the officers.

The delegation assured the commissioner that the affected citizens should not be deprived of their livelihood by taking relief without taking action outside 25 feet from the highway and also when the widening of the highway starts, the citizens will take away the affected property themselves. It was asked to take a decision after discussing with the officials of the concerned department.
