Citizens’ response to the initiative…
Lack of family support forces many students to seek support from ashrams at a young age. This journey of support continues to the date when students complete their education and start to earn on their own. The institutions supporting them play a key role in the success of the students. However, running these institutions incurs huge costs. With the aim of contributing to them and also with the aim of creating social commitment awareness among the students of the school, Gayatri School took the initiative and implemented this ‘handful of grain’ activity. School appealed the parents and citizens to contribute and donate grains and got a good response.

Along with education, there is a need to develop a sense of social responsibility among the students. We constantly emphasize on various activities to serve this purpose. As a part of it, it was decided to give food to the students of the orphanage. The students were instructed to carry out this ‘handful of grain’ activity for the same. Students participated enthusiastically.
