Mumbai: Voting has started for ten seats in the Legislative Council and most of the MLAs have exercised their right. BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap entered the Vidhan Bhavan for voting during the Rajya Sabha elections as well as during the Legislative Council elections. BJP MLA Mukta Tilak, who is battling cancer, exercised his franchise in the morning, followed by ailing MLA Laxman Jagtap. Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis lauded Jagtap, saying who can get a better leader than any other party.
After winning the third Rajya Sabha seat, Devendra Fadnavis dedicated the victory to Laxman Jagtap and Mukta Tilak. Both the MLAs went to the polls for the Legislative Assembly elections which are just ten days away. Despite fighting serious illnesses, the two have opted to exercise their voting right with partisanship. Fadnavis reacted to that.
He is a leader of the masses and stubborn. Once they have something in mind, they do it. Somewhere they felt that the party needed them. And he came here with that in mind, we would have said no, but he would have come. Fadnavis said that no party can get a better leader than him.
