The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Nusrat Imran Qureshi. A case has been registered against her husband Imran Mahmood, mother-in-law, father-in-law, Nanand and Nandai at Hasanabad police station in connection with the murder of the woman.
The body of Nusrat Mahmood was found on May 31 in a house in Qureshi Mohalla area of Hasnabad in Bhokardan taluka. Nusrat sent an audio clip of her husband’s affair to Maher’s people. Maher’s grandchildren have also alleged that Nusrat’s husband was demanding Rs one lakh for the business. Nusrat’s grandchildren also alleged that her father-in-law’s congregation took her to the shrine and beat her with a lemon in her mouth, saying that Nusrat was acting like crazy. Nusrat was married two months ago. A month after the marriage he was treated well. However, she was later harassed for her dowry, a complaint has been lodged with the Hasanabad police station.
After Nusrat’s body was found in the house, it was later brought to the primary health center in Hasnabad for autopsy. This time there was a lot of tension due to the crowd of relatives. After Maher’s grandchildren lodged a complaint at Hasanabad police station, police have registered a case against the deceased’s husband Imran Mahmud, mother-in-law, father-in-law, Nand and Nandai.
