Pimpri Chinchwad | The battle for the upcoming municipal elections has begun. With the announcement of the ward delimitation schedule by the Election Commission, political activity in Pimpri-Chinchwad has intensified. According to the schedule declared by the Commission, the draft ward structure will be published on July 22, 2025.
The Election Commission has initiated all necessary procedures for ward delimitation. The draft structure will soon be released, and objections and suggestions from citizens, political parties, and aspiring candidates will be invited. Following this, a hearing process will be conducted, and the final proposal will be sent to the Election Commission for approval on August 18. Notably, the final ward structure will be published between August 29 and September 4, 2025. This effectively confirms that elections will be held in October–November 2025.

Ward delimitation is considered one of the most critical phases before any election. The abolition, merger, or creation of new wards directly impacts political calculations. As a result, curiosity is at its peak among former corporators, aspiring candidates, and political parties.

The formal election process is expected to begin immediately after the ward structure is finalized. Hence, all parties have already begun strategizing.
