Pimpri: Two thieves who fled after stealing a car and three policemen on a night patrol have clashed. The thieves stabbed the police personnel who were trying to stop the car thieves and remove the car keys. So, the police stopped the pistols on the thieves for self-defense and to catch the thieves. Thieves stole an Eco Sports car from Yamunanagar area on Friday night. Meanwhile, police inspector Ajay Jogdand, who was on night patrol, registered at Chikhali police station and left for Nigdi for night patrol. Then the original owner of the car saw the police car and stopped the car and told the police that his car was stolen. Police searched the car for car number, color and other details.

Jogdand informed the control by phone and asked for a blockade. Later, Jogdand and accompanying police officers Nishant Kale and Pradip Gutte were passing by Bhakti-Shakti Chowk when they spotted a stolen eco car. So the police turned off the lights of their car and started chasing the stolen car. However, the thief was not coming to the police station as the car was speeding.

Meanwhile, the thieves slowed down as there was a truck in front on the Nigdi-Dehuroad border. At that time, the police stopped the stolen car. Police Inspector Jogdand then got down from the vehicle and ran towards the thieves. He put his hand inside the car window and tried to remove the key. At that moment, the thief hit him on the arm. At the same time, police personnel Kale and Gutte surrounded the car on both sides. The thieves attacked the police with their knives. Jogdand saved his life. However, a police officer’s finger was injured. Police later found two more large knives in the car.

Police were alerted to the weapons in the car. Taking stock of the situation, Jogdand pulled out his pistol and aimed it at the thieves. However, the thieves took advantage of the darkness and pushed the police away. The police also chased him. However, as it was dark, the thieves managed to escape. Police have seized the car and seized the stolen items.
