‘Kolhapur’s notoriety will not be tolerated’; Satej Patil’s picture warns Wagh

Kolhapur |

BJP leader Chitra Wagh’s accusation that Kolhapur district is unsafe for women is a defamation of Kolhapur.

Wagh had stated that women were unsafe in Kolhapur after a stone was hurled at her during a campaign rally in Kolhapur. He had also leveled allegations against Home Minister Patil. Against this backdrop, Home Minister Patil said that the BJP was trying to take the election in a different direction by making false allegations as the Kolhapur North constituency was facing defeat. We have instructed the police department to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident that took place yesterday. He also requested that the BJP leaders who come to the campaign be given double security.

Alleging that yesterday’s incident was managed, Patil said, this is the BJP’s instinct. Kolhapur is being slandered by making false allegations in this manner as the sand under the feet is starting to slide. After the stone-throwing, the accused went to the pump and demanded an inquiry in Kadamwadi. An atmosphere is being created where women who come to visit Ambabai feel insecure. BJP state president Chandrakant Patil had said that money was being distributed online in Kolhapur. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Home Affairs Patil said that this was an insult to the people of Kolhapur.
