In a secluded place in the MIDC area near the village, friends were chatting. The incident took place in the MIDC area of Dattapur police station when a minor girl, who was sitting alone with a friend, was threatened and tortured. Police arrested one person from Mardi area in the case.
The detainee’s name is Aartesh Bhosale. Further investigation is underway. A minor girl from the taluka befriended the boy in her contact. In this connection, the two went and sat in a field behind MIDC on Tiwara Marg, west of the city. While they were sitting and chatting, a stranger suddenly appeared on a two-wheeler. He started beating her friend recklessly. They snatched his mobile phone from his pocket and fled the scene. Frightened by the sudden beating, he went away and hid. The assailant then assaulted her and fled the scene with her friend’s snatched mobile phone.
After the tragedy, they both returned to their homes. Both of them did not tell anyone about the matter out of fear. Meanwhile, the rapist contacted her again from her friend’s mobile and started calling her to meet him, asking for comfort. She called the man at Pulgaon on Monday to find a way out. There they tried to beat him, but he escaped. Finally, he lodged a complaint with Dattapur police. Police took note of the incident and charged the unidentified accused with rape and child sexual abuse (POCO). After that, under the guidance of Thanedar Rajesh Rathod, Assistant Inspector of Police Priyanka Chaudhary started the investigation and found Naradham in Mardi area. Police have arrested him.
