‘Ghat to take Ujani water to Katewadi by giving false documents’; Serious allegations against Ajit Pawar

Solapur: Sanjay Patil Ghatnekar of Ujani Sangharsh Samiti has made a serious allegation that the water is being taken to Katewadi by making false documents. In a press conference held today, he made serious allegations along with documents and said that he had filed a complaint with the Baramati tehsildar that there was a drought in Katewadi to take the water of Ujjain to Katewadi.

Ghatnekar has also made a serious allegation that Katewadi has been getting perennial water for the last 75 years, adding false documents as a drought prone area. Although attempts are being made to say that this scheme is old, Ghatnekar pointed out that the date on this scheme is 31st January 2022. He questioned how Rs 346 crore was sanctioned for this scheme when not even Rs 1 was being given to many schemes on Ujani in Solapur district.

All these ghats are being constructed by Ajit Pawar to take the water of Ujjain to Katewadi and we want to cancel this scheme, otherwise there will be more agitation in Solapur district, warned Sanjay Patil Ghatnekar. Members of Ujani Sangharsh Samiti along with Mauli Halanwar were present on the occasion. At this time Ghatnekar presented all the evidence documents. It is noteworthy that Sanjay Patil Ghatnekar is currently in the NCP and was nominated by the party in Karmala. Later, the party withdrew its candidature and declared its support to independent candidate and incumbent MLA Sanjay Mama Shinde. Before joining NCP, Sanjay Patil Ghatnekar was the state president of Baliraja Shetkari Sanghatana.
