Crime News: Drunk Person Opens Fire on Ambulance While Being Taken to De-addiction Center

Staff of De-addiction Center Threatened with Death

Pune: A shocking incident has come to light from Pune. A person in an intoxicated state opened fire on an ambulance while it was on its way to take a friend to a de-addiction center. The person also threw stones at the ambulance and threatened the staff with death. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The incident occurred on Thursday night in the Bakori area on Nagar Road. The Wagholi Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the case. The arrested suspects have been identified as Vishal Kolte (32), Sandeep Hargude (42), and Amol Hargude (36). The ambulance driver, Sudhakar Kande (35), filed the complaint.

According to the police, the accused Sandeep Hargude is an alcoholic. His family had decided to admit him to a de-addiction center in the Lonikalbhor area to help him quit drinking. On Thursday night, around 10:30 PM, Sandeep Hargude, along with his friends Vishal Kolte and Amol Hargude, had gone to a bar on Bakori Road to drink.

When they found out that an ambulance had arrived to take Sandeep to the de-addiction center, Vishal Kolte opened fire from a pistol on the ambulance. He also threw stones at the vehicle while threatening the center’s staff with death. As soon as the Wagholi Police received information about the incident, they rushed to the scene and apprehended the accused Vishal, Sandeep, and Amol.
