Crackdown on Criminals: 26 Notorious Offenders Externed from Pune District

Pimpri-Chinchwad : In a significant crackdown on criminal elements, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have externed a total of 26 repeat offenders from Pune district. The action covers multiple police jurisdictions, including Chikhali (8 offenders), Mahalunge MIDC (3), Bhosari MIDC (11), Dighi (3), and Chakan (1). Of the 26, 18 individuals have been externed for two years, while the remaining eight for one year.

The externment orders were issued by Additional Commissioner of Police Sarang Awad. Circle 3 Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Shivaji Pawar provided detailed information about the action.

Notable externments include:

• Sharad Dnyaneshwar More from Mulshi (Mahalunge MIDC PS) – 2 years
• Swayam Sabaji Sawant and Sonu Bahiru Kedari (Khed) – 1 year
• Sangram Dattatray Pawar, Akash alias Sumit alias Akya Bond Mohol, Sumit Ganesh Pille, and Kanishkaraj alias
• Rana Arun Suravase – 2 years (Chikhali PS)
• Tejas Nilesh Gaikwad, Rohan Shankar Pandit, and Maruti Manjariya Rathod – 1 year
• In Bhosari MIDC, action was taken against the gang led by Ganesh alias GK Santosh Kothawale, with members
• Pratik alias Sasa Kailas Gajarmal, Rohit Raju Bajalav, Vishal alias VP Hanumant Pol, and Digvijay alias Bachha
• Anant Gaikwad also externed for two years. This gang is linked to at least three serious criminal cases.

Other externed individuals include:

• Ketan Sonawane alias Chepya, Sachin Balu Dhande, Deepak Gorakh Dhande, Rahul Bharat Jadhav – 2 years
• Vijay Balasaheb Salve, Dnyaneshwar Vasant Dunghav – 1 year
  From Dighi PS:
• Gajanan Govind Bhosale, Jayanta Haripad Sarkar, Akshay Nandu Pathare – 2 years
  From Chakan PS:
• Nanda Ranganath Salunke (50), a female accused with four registered cases related to marijuana trafficking – 2 years
• Between January and May this year, Circle 3 has seen the externment of 91 habitual offenders. Over 100 additional criminals are currently under close surveillance, DCP Dr. Pawar confirmed. The police continue to intensify efforts to ensure public safety and deter criminal activity in the region.
