Counting will be done by 800 rover machines in the state

Pune: Eight hundred land surveying machines (rover machines) will be procured from the State Settlement Commissionerate to expedite the process of land survey in the state. The latitude and longitude obtained by the rover machine through the wave-based signal received by the satellite will be permanently preserved, so that the fragmentation of the land dams will be eradicated forever. This method of counting will permanently stop the practice of digging dams and grabbing land.

Earlier in the state, land was being measured by plane table. So there was a delay in land survey. Currently, calculations are done with the help of Electronic Total Machine (ETS). However, this method raises doubts about the accuracy of the calculations. Due to the rover machine, the land measurement will be done with the help of satellite, so this measurement will be accurate.

In this regard, Additional Settlement Commissioner Anand Raite said, “Eight hundred rover machines will be procured to make land survey faster and more accurate. The tender process will start later this month. Earlier, the land records department has procured about 100 rover machines through the district planning committee. Officers and staff need to be trained to count with this machine. Training is in progress. With the availability of new machines, land survey cases will be expedited.

About Rs 40 crore has been received from the state government for the rover machine. For counting, 77 counting stations, ie continuous operation reference stations (courses) will be set up, ‘explained Raite. Meanwhile, the state is currently embroiled in fratricide. In some places, land grabbing is done by digging dams. However, since the latitude and longitude of the land is determined by the rover machine, it would be understandable if the dam was dug and encroached into another’s land. Earthquakes, floods or any other natural calamity will make it difficult to determine the extent of the land.
