Ahmednagar: Police will have to give exams for appointment in crime branch

Ahmednagar:Not only the officers but also the police officers are struggling to get appointment in the local crime branch which is considered as the most important and ‘creamy’ branch of the police force. Many places have different criteria for this. However, different criteria will be introduced in five districts of Nashik examination. Those who want to be appointed in this branch will be examined for crime detection. Special Inspector General of Police Dr. Nashik. B.G. Shekhar Patil has issued orders to the superintendents of police in all the five districts.

In the five districts of Nashik Gramin, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar and Ahmednagar, more local police officers have been appointed in the Local Crime Branch (LCB) than the sanctioned strength of police officers. Many of them have no experience in criminal investigations. He did not even get enough service in the police department. However, the circular has been issued by Special Inspector General of Police Shekhar Patil as it has been observed that he is being appointed in this important branch. Of course, the Director General of Police has already given appropriate instructions in this regard. This circular has been issued on that basis.

In Nashik examination area, those who want to be appointed in the local criminal investigation department will be tested for 75 marks on crime detection. There will be 40 marks for optional (objective) and 35 marks for practical examination. Appointment will be made in LCB as per merit list. The details will have to be submitted in writing to the Nashik office within two days. Along with this examination, some other criteria will also be imposed while appointing these police officers.

– Professional criteria of competence, integrity and overall competence will be examined in relation to criminal and investigative information

– The average grading of officers and employees should not be below B-plus in ten years.

– The service should be intact and no inquiry should be pending against them.
– No criminal case should be pending.

– Must have completed training in crime investigation from a criminal investigation school.
– At least two policemen should have been on duty in Thane for six years together.

– Crimes must be uncovered separately.

– There should be no major punishment in the last ten years.
