Nanded: A car and a truck collided head-on at Shankarnagar on the Nanded-Deglur road. Three people died on the spot in the accident on Friday night and one died during treatment. Fortunately, a pregnant woman survived the tragic accident and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to the information received, a Swift car traveling from Narsi to Deglaur was hit by an oncoming truck. Shankar Jadhav, Mahananda Jadhav and Kalpana Shinde from Biloli were killed on the spot while Dhanraj Jadhav succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, Swati Shinde, a pregnant woman, was critically injured and was admitted to a hospital by Shankarnagar police.
How did the accident happen?
The Jadhav family from Takli in Naigaon taluka was going to Shankarnagar. However, the family’s Swift car was hit by an oncoming truck at Kuncheli fork. The accident was so severe that the car was literally crushed. Police rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident. The trio died on the spot before the police arrived, while the driver was in critical condition. The driver was taken to hospital for treatment. But he also died during the treatment. Swati Shinde, a pregnant woman, is currently critically injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
