If Chief Minister Kamal Nath resigns all, then the assembly will eventually dissolve. In such a case, the government cannot go directly to the BJP. Instead, the state will have to seek re-election.
If this masterstroke of Kamal Nath is indeed proved, then there will be midterm elections in the state. The BJP and the Congress will not be easy for anyone. The loss of partisanship will be with the Congress, but there is also the possibility of sympathy. Therefore, some analysts say that Kamal Nath will accept this option as the last. Even then, the current efforts of Operation Lotus in Madhya Pradesh will be inadequate and they too will have to change their strategies. It may take longer for the lily to appear.
