Basically no one was telling us where and when the accident happened. I spoke to the driver of the car, but even he could not tell me where the accident took place. He has been with us for the past few years. He regularly drives on Beed to Mumbai route. All our drivers know not only this route but also the intricacies of the roads in all the districts of Maharashtra. Therefore, not being able to know the exact place where the accident took place is a matter of concern.
Also I am a doctor myself. It was only then that I came to know that Mete Saheb’s death had already taken place, rather than the time being told. So I felt that the truth was being suppressed. There is a missing link in all this. When I went home to Beed, I told my family about this. Trying to hide something from you. Some are raw links, they don’t need association. Eknath, the driver of Vinayak Mete’s car, should have called the police instead of calling us after the accident. I don’t know why he did this. Jyoti Mete said that he may have called the police.

Jyoti Mete narrated what happened at the hospital after the accident. I received a call from Beed that Mete Saheb had met with an accident. After that I reached the hospital in Kamothe from Mumbai. After that I lost all my senses, said Jyoti Mate. After the accident, instead of calling the police, the driver informed people in Beed. Why he didn’t call the police or medical help instead is still unclear. If the driver Eknath Kadam does not give satisfactory answers to the police, this should be investigated thoroughly. When I came to know about the accident, I called our acquaintances in Mumbai and Raigad area. So that they can deliver help to Mete Saheb.
