There is no need to come to Mumbai for work in Chief Minister’s Office: Eknath Shinde

People in rural areas should not feel the need to come to the Ministry for their work. Their problem should be resolved at the local level. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has instructed the administration to speed up the work of the Divisional Chief Minister’s Secretariat, which is functioning at the regional level, so that the common people can experience a people-oriented, transparent administration. The Chief Minister appealed to the citizens to submit their complaints, statements and applications to the Divisional Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

In the meeting held by the Chief Minister on September 8 regarding the Good Governance Rules, the working of the Divisional Chief Minister’s Secretariat was discussed. Chief Minister Shinde gave instructions to the Chief Secretary to empower the Divisional Chief Minister’s Secretariat so that various issues of the citizens and government level tasks are resolved at the taluka and district level.

The works of the citizens at the government level, the applications received in this regard, statements, etc. are received at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in the Ministry and sent for action at the relevant regional level for action. However, with the aim of bringing more public orientation, transparency and dynamism to the common people, Regional Office (CMO) of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat has already been started in the Divisional Commissioner’s Offices in Konkan, Amravati, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur.

The Revenue Deputy Commissioners in the Divisional Commissioner’s Offices have been declared as Special Duty Officers of the Divisional Chief Minister’s Secretariat. They are controlling this and accepting applications in the departmental rooms, giving acknowledgments, processing applications as well as applications received, applications processed and pending applications etc. The monthly report is sent to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. The chief minister’s secretariat in the ministry is controlling the chief minister’s office at the zonal level.

Public Information Officers, Assistant Public Information Officers and Appellate Authorities have been appointed in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat room in all Divisional Commissioner’s Offices to avoid administrative delay and prompt action on information applications received under Right to Information.
