Mumbaikars, big change from tomorrow; Read now or license will be revoked for 3 months

Mumbai: If you wear a helmet, you will see many people traveling without a helmet every day. But this will not happen from tomorrow. Because, those who travel without helmets will now be severely punished. As many as 50 traffic police outposts in Mumbai will take stern action against two-wheelers and those traveling without helmets from Thursday (June 9), an official said.

Recently, the Mumbai Traffic Police had issued a notification mandating helmets for two-wheelers. Not only that, action was also taken against those who violated the rules. But still many passengers are seen traveling without helmets. So now, once again, strict action has been warned in the cities.

According to the official, action will be taken against the cyclist if he does not wear a helmet from Thursday. For this, all the 50 traffic check posts have been ordered to suspend the license for three months and impose a fine of Rs 500. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police Raktilak Roshan. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey on Monday appealed to Mumbaikars to abide by the rules regarding helmets and warned of stern action against violators. So if you are going out on a bike from tomorrow, don’t forget to wear a helmet.
